Themes of costume, temporary architecture and carnival are used to reflect on the physical body as something twisting between agile states and cumbersome restrictions. The poised images or tableux created by the work change from each angle, like different facets of the same moment, shifting between the absurd and the sinister. Oblivious to its audience, and in stark contrast to the moving reality of the city that surrounds it, there seems some escape to any real sense of duration. Rather than something awaited, this work is intended to be stumbled upon, catching oneself off guard.
